A convoy of 100 vehicles is to tour Langkawi for a month from Friday to collect donations from the people for an ailing boy of almost 1-1/2 years.
The convoy would visit government departments, schools, hotels and public places to collect the money for Muhammad Zaiful Anas Zamri, who suffers from Down's Syndrome, has a hole in the heart and a partially blocked air passage, said Langkawi Umno Youth head Mohd Nur Saidi Nayan.
"We hope to collect about RM25,000 which the family of the boy needs," he said when joining the charity convoy here Friday.
On Friday, the convoy travelled about 50 kilometres from the Pekan Rabu complex to Underwater World Langkawi, stopped over at a hotel in Pantai Tengah and ended at the cable car station at Gunung Mat Chincang.
